Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes sits right in the heart of Downtown Disney, blending the energetic buzz of a theme-park setting with the approachable vibe of a lively American burger joint. It’s the kind of spot that feels energized without being overwhelming, making it a convenient stop for anyone winding down after exploring Disneyland or grabbing a bite before heading elsewhere in Anaheim.

The ordering system here is straightforward: you place your order first, then find a seat—mostly first-come, first-served—with staff bringing your food once it’s ready. During busier times, like weekend afternoons or early evenings, tables can fill up quickly, so grabbing a spot outside is a reliable option when the weather’s nice. The space itself feels modern and upbeat, with music pumping in the background and a casual, almost celebratory atmosphere that echoes the nearby Disney excitement but keeps things grounded in a grown-up, relaxed way.

Black Tap is best known for its burgers, which lean into elevated takes on classic bar fare. Standouts include the Wagyu Burger and The Texan Burger, each layered with bold, rich flavors that reward burger enthusiasts looking for something beyond the usual. There’s also thoughtful attention to sides, such as crispy Brussels sprouts with sesame-tahini and house-made onion rings, offering a bit of variety beyond the typical fries. As for shakes, the Crazy Shake lineup brings playful, over-the-top indulgence that fits perfectly with the spirited environment—great for sharing or treating yourself after a long day on your feet.

This spot fits locals and visitors who want a reliably good burger with options that don’t stray too far from familiar territory but still feel fresh. It works well for groups who want to grab a casual meal with some flair, families looking for crowd-pleasing comfort food, or anyone ready to soak up some Downtown Disney energy while enjoying craft-focused American classics.

For timing, early dinner hours typically mean easier seating and less of a rush, while later evenings bring out a livelier crowd and a more energetic vibe, almost like a casual party setting. The staff generally keeps the flow smooth and friendly, so whether you’re seating yourself or lucky enough to snag bar seating, the experience feels easygoing and welcoming.

This place is where I got one of the best burgers I've had in a while! Decent portion and full of flavor! I loved that its inside Downtown Disney so lots of Disney vibes all around. The seating is first come first serve so that could be a little tricky if its a full house but it wasn't a big problem for us on our visit (although we did sit outside). Pricing is a little higher than you'd want to pay for a burger spot but again, its inside Downtown Disney so you can kind of expect that. Didn't get to try their shakes but will definitely do so next time since they looked heavenly!

This place is AWESOME. When you first walk in you are greeted by a host/hostess and music you can dance to. Its almost like walking into a club. The vibe is energetic and fun. Ordering food was a breeze. The menu has plenty choose from but not so much that its overwhelming. Seating is pick your own table. Which was easy to find one. The staff was friendly and on point. Now the Food...OMG all the food was soooo good. Juicy burgers, fresh salads, tender chicken, everything was a hit. I do highly recommend eating here. My new favorite burger spot. We need this in Mesa, Az.

My first feed after flying roughly 17hrs from Australia and was not disappointed. Don’t be fooled by the lineup out front, it moves fast… you order your food first then go get a table and the food will be bought to you. We were lucky enough to skip then line as we were offered to sit at the bar and we can order direct from there. The burger I had was amazing and we also had chicken tenders which were cooked amazingly and tasted unreal. Plenty of beer on tap ranging from local and import

After a long day at Disney we wanted to grab a quick dinner before driving back to SD, and Downtown Disney made the most sense. Many of the other eating establishments had closed their kitchen, but Black Tap was open so we figured we would give it a shot The menu offers mostly elevated bar food like specialty burgers, wings, snacks, and shakes. Feel free to customize your order, but know that anything extra will be considered a charitable add-on. While this place isn’t “expensive,” the prices aren’t the most affordable, but then you have to remember you’re still pretty much within the Disney bubble, and costs will be higher The space is intimately lit, and stretches what feels like 3 interconnected restaurants/bars, but they are all part of the same restaurant You will order at the front and they will give you a number. The staff were all friendly, and we received our meal in a timely manner Some tips: The Street Corn Nachos were surprise good. The queso was a different consistency than I’m used to, but the flavors worked well together. I would also recommend grabbing a beer to go with your meal. They have plenty on tap, and since I was visiting from out of town it gave me a good reason to try a local brew. I didn’t get a chance to try one of their shakes, but I saw them come out and they looked absolutely delicious Cheers!!

We had such a great experience here! The ordering process was super smooth – you place your order first and then you’re seated, which takes away the stress of having to hunt for a table. Once seated, our food was brought right to us, making everything really easy and enjoyable. We tried the Old Fashioned Burger, the Texan Burger, and the Mexico City Burger. All three were excellent – juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The service was also spot on – friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Overall, great food, great service, and a hassle-free dining process. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Downtown Disney!

Food to money ratio isn't that good. I had the Wagyu burger and son had the all American. It was a tasty burger, but maybe in my top 10. Good Disney atmosphere and music. Military and First responders discount of 10%. Really appreciated. Rare in Canada, but US just loves their military more. Fruity pebble shake was diabetes in a glass but good.

This is bar food at Downtown Disney. There is a good variety and monster shakes seem to be the specialty. Prices are out of control. I think a shake was over $25! There are fast at getting you a seat since we had a large party. This place always seemed busy when we walked by. Overall a good place to grab a meal and kid friendly with a lot of seating.

When we are in downtown disney, we came across this place to eat. It had very little weight and we were able to get a table right away. I ordered the Wagyu steak burger, and it was very delicious. The servers were very friendly and I would definitely recommend it for a lunch or dinner.
